How would some one do a worshop on Healthy Snack for young kids?

I need a little help. I am doing workshop on Healty snack for young kids and want to know if anyone did one and what did they do?

Is this a workshop for children or adults?

No matter.

Explain the food groups, and what each one does and so on… (for example protein, carbs, fruit&veg)

and then go on to talk a bit about some healthy options, finger foods - carrot and celery sticks, dried fruit and so on and so forth… and if it is for kids, it might help to prepare a few to offer round, so they have an oppertunity to try something new.

Looking for healthy recipes and snack ideas for kids…?

Looking for healthy snack and supper recipes that are kid friendly (ages 8-12yrs old). Supper recipes that take less then an hour to prep. and cook and that use the least amount of pots possible. Snack recipes that are healthy.
No peanuts/nut ingredients.
we usually have around 6 kids to feed.
It's for work… We work with kids and want to get them to eat more healthy foods especially vegies and fruits.

Thanks.

Well my favorite was carrot sticks but I dipped them in ranch dressing. You can serve carrot sticks with a low fat dressing of their choice. There is also apples that are cut a peeled. Just about all kids like bananas. Celery sticks with a choice of fillings. I know this in not much but I hope it is enough to get you started.

do you have any healthy snack ideas for kids?

my kids are granola freaks, but it's getting old. they are also tired of celery and carrots. lately they've been enjoying air popped popcorn, but i cant think of other snack ideas.

red, green, and yellow bell pepper sticks…they can play stoplight, or use hummus to "paint".

Chex tastes like Bugles but has 10th the salt.

juice popsicles, but make sure it's 100% juice.

Can anybody tell me a healthy or delicious snack for kids/teens?

At school my friend and i, need to bring a healthy snack (it does not matter if it is not healthy, it has to be delisous). I don't know what to bring, so if anybody knows just answer me, please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FRUIT!!!
make fruit kabobs with popular fruits such as
pineapple, strawberries, grapes, bananna, apples and any thing else you have!

pls help… :) what is a good healthy snack for kids?

okay so me and my friend are 13 and have 4 siblings who are 3, 5, 7 and 8 (close age range… they fight a lot LOL) and we always are stuck making snack for them

what are some ideas for fun, healthy snacks? they have to be fast too
and nothing with bananas or mentos or onions or peanut butter or bread please
(sorry they are picky)
thanks :)
You could have a fondue themed snack-time. A variety of vegetables, crackers, fruits, breads, and even baked chips gives even the picky ones enough to choose from. For dip use yogurt fruit dip, ranch dip, low-fat cheese dip, salsa, and even chocolate as a special treat. Fun, easy, and favorable for kids who are choosey!

A healthy snack for kids?

I run an after school and holiday club and i am look for healthy(ish) snacks for kids? I cant have any thing like fruit either cos if kids dont attend - the fruit goes to waste! so some long life snack ideas please! thank you - much appreciated!

Try dried fruits such as raisins, apricots, apple rings, papaya, mango, banana chips, craisins (dried cranberries) or mixed tropical fruits. Whole wheat crackers, fruit sticks, cheese sticks or soft bread twists with jam dip. You can make your own dried fruits and vegetables. Rice cakes (preferably plain) with fruit spread or cheese spread. Stay away from peanuts or anything with peanuts in it as some children have severe allergies to them. You probably know what the children are allergic to but sometimes allergies can come on suddenly and peanuts are a big one to watch out for. Freeze fruit juices in popsical makers or make some rice crispie squares. Any cereal that is big enough to be eaten as a finger food is a good snack preferably ones low in sugar and organic. Small muffins are perfect for a snack. You can make a number of batches, a variety of different kinds and freeze them to be used later. Use the muffin pans for petit ones. Bread crispy cups can be made from cutting squares of sliced bread, placing them in small muffin pans so they mold into a cup and toasting them in the oven. When crisp store in a bag in the fridge. Make up different fillings that you can spoon into the cups at the last minute. Freezer jams are good for this, tuna mixed with mayonnaise and green onion chopped, or mashed baked beens red or black with grated cheese, a bit of garlic and a bit of olive oil to make it moist. Any kind of canned fruit well drained, spoon in toasted bread cups and put a dash of whipped cream or dream whip on top (decorate with colored sprinkles to look pretty). Cut celery into 3 inch lengths and spread Cheeze Whiz or any cheese spread in them. Put raisins on top…for fun call it ants on a log. Make different flavors of jelly in a slice pan and cut into squares or use small jelly molds. For more ideas get a book on h'orderves or party snacks. Hope these ideas are usefull.
